Endesa Datathon

The event

The Endesa Datathon challenged developers and experts in Big Data worldwide to put their creativity and capacity for innovation to work to transform the future of energy in Spain.

After 6 months of global competition, the 40 participants selected to participate submitted their final projects. The top three ideas selected by an international jury panel were announced during the awards ceremony which was held in Endesa´s auditorium at their central offices in Madrid.

The event included the participation of Big Data experts like Carlo Ratti, Director of the MIT Senseable City Lab, and companies like BBVA, Telefónica, Sanitas and the Instituto de Ingeniería del Conocimiento. At the end of the event, we discovered the name of the first, second and third place winners who received cash awards of 15,000€, 10,000€ and 5,000€ respectively.
